The monarch butterfly is more than a symbol in our name – it’s part of this place.

Each winter, thousands of monarch butterflies return to the Monarch Butterfly Grove in Pismo Beach, just minutes from our tasting room in Grover Beach. Clustering together in eucalyptus trees, they rest and restore before continuing their migration.
It’s a quiet, powerful reminder of resilience, community, and the instinct to return to what sustains us.
That’s the spirit behind Monarch Grove Winery.
Why Milkweed Matters
Monarch butterflies depend on milkweed to survive. It’s the only plant where they lay their eggs, and the only food their caterpillars can eat.
But milkweed habitats are disappearing — and with them, monarch populations.
Planting milkweed creates safe spaces for monarchs to grow, transform, and continue their migration.
Join Us
We’re proud to support the Save Our Monarchs Foundation.
Milkweed seeds are available in our tasting room for a suggested $5 donation, with all proceeds supporting monarch conservation efforts.
Plant a seed. Support the journey. Be part of the transformation. 🌱 🐛🦋
