2020 Petite Sirah
Arroyo Grande, in San Luis Obispo County, is a quaint rural town minutes from the beach and minutes from the nearest lake. These vines, grown on High Mountain Road created this wine with exquisite deep color and full-bodied flavors of dark blueberry and plum. Joe Wais, winemaker crafted this wine to have low tannin and a luxurious velvety mouth feel. Fortunately, Petite Sirah has very high levels of anthocyanin (an antioxidant) so it's healthy too!
Despite its popularity, Petite Sirah is an exceptionally rare grape with less than 10,000 planted acres worldwide, growing mainly in California. We are lucky to have it growing in our back yard.
